Factory Arts District is an arts and entertainment destination housed in a former factory in downtown Indy.
Formerly Circle City Industrial Complex (CCIC), Factory Arts District is home to an eclectic mix of food, beverage, retail, service, and entertainment options—and the city’s largest community of working artists. It’s Indy’s unconventional destination for arts and entertainment, community and connection. It’s the ungentrified, unpretentious, uncommonly interesting place the un-crowd gathers.
Factory Arts District encompasses two distinct addresses: 1125 Brookside Avenue, the scrappy, bohemian, beating heart of the district is now Factory Arts North. The newly renovated 1011 Mass Ave with retail, restaurants, an event center and more is now Factory Arts South. Color-coordinated branding distinguishes the two properties and additional combinations of brand elements allow for unique signage, graphics, and merchandising.
The Factory Arts name pays homage to the property’s industrial roots while reflecting the arts, culture and community of more than 150 tenants, including Indy’s largest artist community. The District term allows for the half-million square foot dual properties plus any future expansion. A big thanks to Ken Honeywell for his collaboration and insight on the naming and positioning of this special place.
